Day 26: Las Vegas to Sedona, Arizona

It's hard to believe we will be home in North Carolina one week from today! Some are already making plans for these newfound friendships to continue once we get back to the east coast! 

The crew boarded the bus bright and early, leaving Las Vegas and heading towards Arizona. We stopped shortly into the trip and loaded up on snacks, these stops seem to be a favorite among the group. The bus was completely silent for the entire ride, all the way until we parked at the first stop inside the national park! The crew clearly needed some rest after an exciting few days. 

We drove straight to one of the seven wonders of the natural world; The Grand Canyon! Kids were super excited and the chatter and excitement walking up only amplified as we approached the first look out point. The crew took plenty of photo opportunities, and the temperature was cool and enjoyable as we hiked 2.5 miles up to Bright Angel Lodge. 

Our hike ended with plenty of museums and souvenir stores, as well as the ever so popular ice cream and milkshake shop! The kiddos loaded the bus and headed to Sedona, Arizona, Clarence once again handling these hairpin turns through the mountains and hills. They enjoyed pizza and a pool party at the Arabella Hotel.
