Meet the Staff

 Glenn Jordan, Tour Director

Upon returning from each of my thirteen trips with The Grand Western Tour, I never failed to realize that I'd just lived one of the most positive stretches of the year. Thanks to all of you for making it possible.  I've spent 24 years teaching middle school, the past 16 at Western Rockingham Middle School, in Madison, North Carolina.  Over the years, I've taught seventh and eighth grade social studies, math and science.  I also coach track and field.  I enjoy long, daily walks with my 82-pound pit bull and a yellow lab, tipping the scales around 110. I also enjoy history, music, politics, sports and gazing at Kansas wheat fields through a bus window, but not always in that order. I look forward to the summer!

 Nathan Ziglar

Nathan Ziglar is also returning this year.  He graduated from Appalachian State with a BA in History Education and Masters in Public Administration. He has taught many different history classes, as well as coaching football, basketball, baseball and golf.  He serves the community by being a member of the Zoning Board.

 Molly Riddle

We are delighted to have Molly Riddle join us again as one of our female staff members.  Molly, is a graduate of NC State University and teaches math at Green Hope High School in Cary, NC. She also taught a year abroad in Bangkok, Thailand. Molly loves to travel, stay active, and spend time with family and friends.

 Elizabeth Fisher

Elizabeth Fisher is joining the Grand Western Tour this summer with a lot of experience with students. Elizabeth has wanted to be a teacher all of her life. Having come from a military family, she worked with children on military bases in Germany and New Orleans. Currently, Elizabeth lives in Charlotte where she teaches 7th grade at Lake Norman Charter School in Huntersville, NC and teaches future teachers at UNC-Charlotte where she is an Adjunct Professor.  Elizabeth is 28 years old and is in the process of planning her November wedding.  Her fur baby is a pit bull/lab mix that loves to snuggle!

Clarence Robinson, Bus Driver

Clarence Robinson will be joining us again.  He has become a favorite among the students each year!  He has logged more than 2 million safe driving miles.
